False Positive Detected by Avast Antivirus on Android

A user reported that avast is detecting a virus in our App. This has to be a false positive, the App works well on millions of devices. I tried reporting via the false positive form, but it appears to be broken.

Please let us know why this happens and if possible fix it. Thanks!

Hi, you can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Hi Asyn,

I tried, but the form is broken:

Internal Server Error - Write

Hi, as you’re a developer, read here…

Thank you for the links. I am not able to join the whitelisting program, since my APK is too big for the upload. I also can’t use the FTP server, because for that I need to join the whitelisting program … which again is blocked.

I saw another thread about a similar problem … here the response was “we fixed the error”. Would that be an option in our case, too?

Test the APK at VT (https://www.virustotal.com) and post the link to the result here.

Hi, can’t see any Avast detection… :-\

Same … that’s interesting, the user reported that this happens in Avast, maybe they got their apps confused?
This is the screenshot they sent along: https://imgur.com/a/oNyaKjE

No idea either, I’d suggest to ask the user if it still happens…
