false positive

I was trying the online scanners from Panda Software when avast! alerted that the files for NanoScan were dangerous.???

When doing an online scan, you should temperarly stop avast. Avast will propably pick up the online scanner’s files as it scans. It was most likely nanoscan’s unencrypted files that avast detected.

As oldman said this is the unencrypted signatures getting detected for that reason I would suggest another on-line scanner.

Panda continues to not encrypt its signature files… it’s a joke!
Try full computer on-line scanning:
Kaspersky (very good detection rates)
ESET NOD32
Trendmicro housecall
AVGas (does not necessary if you have AVG antispyware installed)
F-Secure
BitDefender (free removal of the malware)
HitmanPro (multiply scanners)

I never knew panda would be so reckless. I’m trying Trend Micro Housecall at this very moment.

A very good scanner. But if I’m not wrong, only BitDefender will allow to clean the infections.

I never completed the scan anyway.

Why? Does it take that much time? How long?
