False positive

Probably 100% of the virus scanners I have detect an abandonware game (and its setup) as either a PUP, Malware, or SoftwareBundler. While this may have been true, the sites it connected to do not exist anymore. It also isn’t affecting my system.

I want to submit it to avast! so they can truly test it and see the effects of it. I really think it’s a false positive. How would I go about doing that?

Send the installer to virus (at) avast (dot) com and explain it could be a false positive.
A link to www.virustotal.com results will help also.

Presumably you have it in the chest already (if not manually add it):
Send the sample to avast as a False Positive:
Open the chest and right click on the file and select ‘Submit to virus lab…’ complete the form and submit, the file will be uploaded during the next update.

Ah, okay. This time when it found it I said Move to Chest and followed your instructions. Thanks, mate.

Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind for future references.

Chiron have posted a how to guide here…for what seems like all vendors that exist

How is this relevant, if I may ask?
