file(s) not previously detected as potential threats now are...

hello,

a month ago i bought an lg smart 3d tv.
i installed the smartshare software from lg. no issues. at that time i had the previous version of the avast! internet security (not the current one).

i had to reinstall windows so i did. i installed avast! internet security (3 year license).
today i tried to install smartshare to share something on my tv.
first issue was during the install. i got an alert about a file being suspected as a threat. attachment no1.

then i cannot add the file to the scan exclusion list.

i have to go to the virus chest and delete the file from there (in order for the installer to continue).

then the software is detected also as a potential threat. so i cannot use it. even if i add it to the exclusion list.

i scan the installer (both archive and installer files) NO detection.

i scan the software location (program files) NO detection.

the same software used to work on the previous version of InternetSecurity.

what can be done?

Send the files to virus@avast.com subject false positive.

i did that. that was the first thing i did.

the solution was to disable all shields of avast!, install the software and enable the shields.
