Files to analyze. (1 FALSE POSITIVE AND 1 POSSIBLE VIRUS) X AVAST TEAM

I have sent two files in “ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming/”.

  1. InstID.rar password: virus …(I think false positive)
  2. rbgity.rar password: virus …(detected by Avast as a virus, but only by manual scanning)

You can check please?
Thanks, and please let me know.

Hello,

  1. not FP
  2. what avast version do you have?

Milos

Hi Milos.
The version is listed in my signature: avfree 6.0.1367.
How do you send them? (excluding the sending of files from the avast chest).
Thanks.

By email to virus (at) avast (dot) com, as a password protected archive, with undetected malware/false positive (whichever is appropriate and the password in the email body.

Or

There is an on-line contact form, http://www.avast.com/contact-form.php?loadStyles for: * Sales inquiries; Technical issues; Website issues; Report false virus alert in file; Report false virus alert on website; Undetected Malware; Press (Media), issues.

  • If reporting a false positive/undetected malware, then select that option and using the Browse… button, navigate to the file.
  • This is for single file submission and no need to archive and password protect

Thanks DavidR.
But my intention was not to fill in a cold form, but talk on the subject.
Besides, this is not a new thing; has already happened many times in this forum.
Do anything, it means that I will continue to send tens of times the same file from the virus chest of avast without that I get any response.
Thank you anyway.
