Firefox and Mozilla

Is it possible to extend the script blocking to Firefox.? The code should be almost 99% exact to Mozilla. I have changed the file name from firefox.exe to mozilla.exe and it works perfect.

So is it possilbe to include firefox.exe to the code?

Dave…

That would be really cool. I am a hardcore firefox user.
BTW , how are you likeing Firefox 0.9

From what I used of Firefox 0.9 it seemed good. But still needs a bit of work. I plan on checking it out more once it gets to 1.0 or higher.

0.9 is sweet and I haven’t had any problems with it. I just recently converted my sister to Firefox (finally). Now I just have to get my parents to use it.

I am working on the same thing!
Plus broadband because AOL sucks the big one.

i love firefox too…but then…there’s no really nice themes available…so disappointing

We’ll find out what can be done.

Scannerdesk, your saying that the Script Blocker works OK just if you rename the FireFox exe file? I mean, how do you know it’s working? Is it just the splash screen that makes you think so or is it really scanning things (i.e. the Scan Count value for the SB provider is increasing etc…)??

Thanks
Vlk

Looks like I might have been mistaken about it working with Firebird when I renamed it mozilla.exe. The splash screen does run, but there is no counting.

I still hope that it can be still included in the script blocker routine.

Dave…

As far as the themes and such. Just give it time as they are being converted over to the new theme and extension manager. I saw the last bug list and they are nailing the bugs quickly and it looks like next version for both firebird and thunderbird will be a very nice platform to work with.

The latest nightly build is pretty stable.

They have a nice looking list of items to add to both. Should be a very interesting few updates coming.
