Hi all. Just added AntiTrack to my Avast collection. But I can’t activate the add-on to Firefox. Firefox keeps replying “Can’t find that page”. Avast support chat isn’t much helpful. Has any of you an idea of what to do next?
My computer runs Windows 11 and Firefox version 140.0.4.
Same issue. Entire Antitrack app will not stop prompting for it, either.
Last night i had an IT expert look through my computer and the AntiTrack download. He was unable to see any faults and gave up. Said: “uninstall it and demand refund”.
The order confirmation includen an activation code. When installing I was never asked to write the activation code. Now I am stuck with a program that keeps prompting me to activate it as a Firefox extension. But the program isn’t showing on Firefox’s listing of extensions.
So: I think I will demand Avast to refunding the one-year subscription.
I have a case open to an escalated team for this problem. It’s a new one and I’m sure they are hearing about it. They must have moved the extension app or forgot to point the AntiTrack app to the right place on a recent change. I’m supposed to get a call back in 48-72 hours. I’ll let you know if there is a resolution. In the meantime, perhaps it would be good to keep trying the link to see if they correct it, or try a different browser. Edge still works.
I’m sorry everyone, but it has been over a week and no one has contacted me about this issue with the extension for Firefox. I just checked in with them again and all I get are assurances that their “dedicated team” will come through. I’m done. The problem seems very simple. Provide the extension as required to properly get AntiTrack to work with Firefox. I noticed today that my AntiTrack was updated automatically to V 4.2.6251.12502, but it still could not locate the extension for Firefox.
Hello everyone,
I just raised a support ticket over the chat, providing all the explanations and screenshots.
Ticket has been escalated.
I also referred the link to this specific post.
I found the error myself after incorrect instructions from Avast support and the error lies with them! Their Avast AntiTrack links to the wrong ADD-ONS at Mozilla Firefox, the ADD-ONS their program wants to link to does not exist.
The correct ADD-ONS at Mozilla Firefox is the one called Avast Online Security & Privacy and it does not appear if you just search for Avast AntiTrack.
Here is the link to it, and if you install it it works.
Strange that I myself have to find the error for a product that I have paid for, it should be them who noticed it and could send me the link.
This link is not for Avast AntiTrack. It is for Avast AntiVirus. Even though this exists and can be downloaded, at least for me, a message appears that indicates Avast no longer supports the antivirus extension for Firefox and then it immediately uninstalls the extension. Sorry to say the Avast AntiTrack extension for Firefox is still missing as far as I am concerned. If anyone has had success with the response above and can report how they successfully installed it and got it to work for AntiTrack, please respond.
I have an update on the ADD-ONS I sent you the link to, it seems like it could work until the computer is restarted then it doesn’t work anymore, Avast says they have a solution ready within 14 days.
