Firewall/Camera upload problem

Hello, everyone. I’ve been attempting to allow my firewall to upload photos from my camera (Panasonic FZ1000) to a Windows 10 PC. There is no software involved on the camera end. It’s just a straight log-in to my system’s WIFI. It works great with the Avast Firewall disabled. Not so with the Avast Firewall enabled. I’ve scoured the setting that I think are pertinent, but find nothing to let this connect pass data to my PC.

Any/all help will be gratefully received. Thanks!

Is firewall network profile in private or puplic?

Thanks for the link. I’ve tried both ways to no effect. Oh, and shouldn’t I be able to enter the IP’s of “Friends” in the firewall settings? I have the boxes but it won’t let me enter anything nor can I edit any of the other existing ones.

What makes you think it is the firewall blocking it ?

Are you getting any errors displayed to the screen or the avast notification area ?
If so what.

Because the connection either times-out or refuses to connect when the shield is up. When I deactivate it temporarily, it works great.

Is your Firewall mode set to Private and have you enabled Internet Connection Sharing mode via Settings > Firewall?

Setting EVERYTHING to Private did the trick! Thanks!
