Firewall mode changed - Popup

Hi Guys,

I am getting “Firewall mode changed” popup frequently and automatically my wifi is getting disconnected.

Below is the error message:
“We detected the network and automatically changed the firewall mode to Private/Low Risk Zone”.

Avast Premier - Program Version: Avast 2017(12.3.2280).
It is a licensed version for 2 years.

I’m getting this too, with Avast Internet Security on a Windows 7 box. Every time I start the machine up, Avast pops up the system tray message described by Umashankar2050. See attached screenshot. It’s always the network I am already connected to. Sometimes, it happens several times in the next hour or so after startup. Unlike him/her, though, my wifi isn’t getting disconnected; as far as I can tell, there is no break in connection.

You’re not a Plusnet customer, are you, Umashankar2050? It’s a long shot but I have a reason for asking:

I’m also getting the “Firewall Mode changed” popup each time I wake my computer. This just started about a month ago. Annoying. Don’t know how to stop it. My Firewall is correctly configured. Note: I’ve had Avast for years without this issue.

In the Avast user interface:

Avast - Firewall - Settings - Network profiles - uncheck " Show notifications for automatic profile switching ".

Well … yes and no. It’s good to know the notifications can be disabled, and if I was switching between networks a lot I might well want to do that. But I’m not. This machine is only ever connected to one network, so there is no switching involved. I want to know why Avast keeps telling me it’s switching network when it isn’t :frowning:
