I’m getting this too, with Avast Internet Security on a Windows 7 box. Every time I start the machine up, Avast pops up the system tray message described by Umashankar2050. See attached screenshot. It’s always the network I am already connected to. Sometimes, it happens several times in the next hour or so after startup. Unlike him/her, though, my wifi isn’t getting disconnected; as far as I can tell, there is no break in connection.
You’re not a Plusnet customer, are you, Umashankar2050? It’s a long shot but I have a reason for asking:
I’m also getting the “Firewall Mode changed” popup each time I wake my computer. This just started about a month ago. Annoying. Don’t know how to stop it. My Firewall is correctly configured. Note: I’ve had Avast for years without this issue.
Well … yes and no. It’s good to know the notifications can be disabled, and if I was switching between networks a lot I might well want to do that. But I’m not. This machine is only ever connected to one network, so there is no switching involved. I want to know why Avast keeps telling me it’s switching network when it isn’t
