If I set option: Setting > Protection > Firewall > For programs with no defined rules (i.e. programs not listed on the Application Rules page), do the following: > ASK
Why don’t program remember my decision? For instance it keeps asking me for decision when I use Outlook.
If I create custom firewall rule, program overwrite it.
I feel your pain it keeps doing that and more. Apparently auto-decide means block now and allow means allow unless it don’t like it then it changes it to ask. I’ve been telling it no means no but it refuses to take me seriously. So after a couple weeks I wrote an email to it’s dad. I only wish it was that simple I sent one after waiting the mandatory 3-5 minutes for Avast to come stumbling along to ask whether or not I wanted to allow access to the internet despite chrome having 5 bar access, given allow permission on everything and being on the exceptions lists. As usual when I checked the last allow had been changed to ask which should be called ask when i get there and I will get there when I get there. Now I have a laundry list of things to do in an attempt to fix it. I am kind of going to miss this, “The world is my oyster and I do what I want” version if fix works but only a little. It’s had it’s moments some of which were so out of line and sibling like with my vpn I actually LOL.
