Firewall protection

Hi, I have a gamesite that I love to go too and play games. But I keep having problems with some of the games. I have contacted the website for help but they are saying that it’s my firewall on my anti-virus. The question is what can I do to keep my comp. safe and still be able to play on this gamesite? The name of the gamesite is Wild Tangeants. Please help me with this situation. Ty, tweety9875

Hi tweety9875 and welcome to the Avast! Forums,

Until some of the more knowledgeable forum members can arrive to review your post, may I suggest you check out what the hosts-file.net website has to say about the wildtangent.com site at this link:

http://hosts-file.net/default.asp?s=WildTangent.com

You might also look at the reviews posted on the Web of Trust (WOT) site too. The wildtangent site is apparently associated with viruses, trojans, and other malware. Although, McAfee’s Trusted Source displays a green check mark for the wildtangent site, the user reviews shown are very unfavorable.

* Also…would you please be so kind as to indicate which antivirus product/firewall you are presently using, as well as, any other security software on your computer?

Thank you!

Suggestion: delete the relevant firewall rules, related to avast, web browsers and the game. Save and reboot.
