I have a Asus zenphone 2 (ze551ml) and it tells me that there is no support for this device any chance of Avast setting up needed support thanks.
And at the same time avast says that rooted devices are not supported anymore.
Hi Eddy, from where did you get this info…?? (Afaik, rooted devices are supported.)
Posts from avast members on this webboard.
It would b.t.w. not surprise me if that article needs some updating.
Android 4.0.x is old.
Things have changed in Android and avast.
Perhaps something for Thereza to have a look at.
The ZenFone 2 is running 5.0.1 and has root access…
OK, best you wait for Tereza…
Hi, the problem is that Zenphone 2 has the intel (x86) processor, which is a problem for our firewall. Unfortunately we are not preparing any changes in this problem, sorry I cannot offer any reasonable solution.
A little bit disappointed that there is no support because I have root access and avast doesn’t support this device running in to no end of problem’s with USB debugging and what-not…may need to review thing’s and find something that will work…
Pete, one of my smartphones also have an Intel chip (x86) like Zenfone 2. Asus and Intel drop their partnership and Intel get away from the mobile market. Unfortunately, x86 technology is dead for mobile. You can try local proxy apps to control the traffic on Android (for instance: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.faircode.netguard).
