Hi,

This is the English Forum mate, i think you should try in this forum for Netherlands: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=31.0

But if you understand English i will try to help you.

It happened the same thing with me. I solved doing a clean installation of Avast. You should use the Avast clear tool : https://www.avast.com/nl-nl/uninstall-utility to unistall the Avast (make sure you use this tool on secure boot) and restart. After that you install Avast again and it should be running soothly

I hope this helps you.

Kind Regards,
Filipe

Thank you for providing this solution I did a search for this earlier and found nothing. But reddit lead me back here So I need to learn how to use this forum better. Thanks again!

Fix It!!!

Hi, see: https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=233126.msg1540947#msg1540947

I got this solution from Avast, it works for me, i hope it does for you.

Open Avast Premium Security → Press Menu in the Top Right → Settings → General → Troubleshooting → scroll down to Reset all settings and click on Reset to Default and reboot your PC

Same here. A lot easier than reinstalling the whole damn thing! Repair didn’t work for me, either, but resetting all settings did.

This kind of failure should not happen with an update. It isn’t the first time an update has not gone smoothly, either.

Worked for me but an hour wasted trying to resolve it.

Agree that this shouldn’t happen with an update.

If you have made any changes to the default settings, make sure you save your settings before doing the reset.
