Upon booting a message always comes up that says “c:\users\appdata\foaming\adobe\update\flacor.dat cannot be accessed.” This appears to be some sort of malware or virus…; and,
Upon going to the Internet with his AOL access browser the computer asks to install ‘Adobe flash player installer’. Whatever I do, (install or stop the popup) The message still comes up the next time I start the browser it comes up again. It mentions this string: BDB57FF2-79B9-4205-9447-F5FE85F37312
Thanks for your response. Do I just follow the old directions on the link you sent to me, or do I have to upload a hi-jack this log, etc. and have them tell me what to do?
Thanks again,
The string … BDB57FF2-79B9-4205-9447-F5FE85F37312 … is related to a Windows or IE add-on installer which could be induced by the AOhelL request for ‘Adobe flash player installer’.
