When I use Avast sandbox for my browser, I keep getting messages from websites (Avast is one on their summary of virus reports page) I need to update/upgrade my flash player. If I exit sandbox and browse normal, I do not get these messages. Is this normal for the sandbox? Thanks.
This happened to me a lot when I had AIS. Plugins failed to run sanboxed sometimes. You can try to go into the sandbox’s setting, should be an option there to exclude the plugins from being sandboxed, that might get it to work.
I don’t have the Sandbox, but as far as I’m aware you would need to clear your sandbox (or rather just clear your browser from the sandbox) and then re-sandbox your browser so that it imports the latest updates.
Thanks for the help everyone. I had no luck getting it to work last night, but for some reason it is working fine this morning. All i did was boot the cpu up (I tried that last night as well, with no luck) and everything was working as it should.
This seems to be hit or miss if the pulgins are getting loaded. I am not dead set on using firefox, so I may just download Chrome and use it. If I download Chrome will it have any effect on safezone since Chrome is already loaded in it? Do I already have Chrome (downloaded) since it is in safezone? Thanks.
Hmm… I wouldn’t like to induce you in error since I use Sandboxie now, but I tried the Avast Sandboxe and FF7 beta and the latest version of Adobe Flash Player and everything was swell with the beta version of Avast, 1273. Try it, me it’s as stable as the stable version.
Edit: I’m just testing the Avast Sandboxed FF7 and I can attest Adobe Flash Player and all my plugins load normally 8) http://files.avast.com/files/beta/6.0.1273/setup_ais.exe
As I told you, my problems with sandbox disappeared with latest versions of Adobe Flash player, Avast beta 1273, and FF7. I ain’t see my problem reappear so far.
