I normally get the installation file for the Flash Player (Non-IE) from FileHippo, but now when I head there and download the file, that now directs me to the Adobe site. I’m on dial up at home, so downloading large installation files isn’t an option at home. I go to FileHippo at work to obtain the installation file. Now that it goes to the Adobe site, I’ll have to look elsewhere, but can anyone tell me where I can get the installation file from now, without the McAfee scanner thing that Adobe offers or anything else bundled in with it?
I usually get mine directly from the distribution page, http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html. That allows you to just get the IE or Non-IE version, but I would say that you should always update both even if you avoid using IE.
I don’t know why but I always choose the .exe installer rather than the .msi installer.
So I see! I last updated mine in November sometime. One update came out in December (which I forgot about) and now another has seemingly been released. Oops!
