I’m a software developer using my employer’s Avast Business CloudCare (version 20.1.2581 (build 20.1.5069.562)) as the machine’s antivirus solution.
Every time I add a folder location to the exceptions list (Menu > Settings > Exceptions > Add Exception) Avast will remove it after an unknown timeframe. Sometimes the exception lasts a day, sometimes mere seconds.
It’s been like this for years and I’ve finally had enough and want an answer.
By default, the Avast Business CloudCare web console will overwrite settings in the local Avast Business CloudCare clients, so all settings should be changed in the Avast Business CloudCare web console at https://cloudcare.avg.com/ and not in the local Avast Business CloudCare client. Please allow adequate time for the Avast Business CloudCare web console to synchronize changed settings with the Avast Business CloudCare clients.
