AVAST has been working well for years. I haven’t made any changes lately, however, all of a sudden I’m getting this mesage -

following components cannot be started - file system shield

Can someone assist? Thanks, Steve

try avast repair

controlpanel > ad/remove programs > avast > uninstall/change > reapir option … wait a minute and reboot

any change?
