A friend help set up my PC with Avast One. I don’t know the password or the email associated with Avast One. How do I unlock Avast One? I can’t uninstall or ask for a password reset. It doesn’t say what email is associated with the lock Password
First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
And I don’t use Avast One, however I believe the procedure is the same.
What version of Avast One are you using
If someone has setup a password to access the Avast One User Interface, then you won’t be able to do it.
Unless you can ask your friend what password they used, there is no easy way to do this.
How did you connect to this Avast Community forum - usually this is by using the same email address and .password.

- Particularly the - Uninstall via the Avast Uninstall Tool - as you can’t when Avast is running.

Obviously the easiest option to ask your friend what the hell was the password they used.
I asked him, he doesn’t recall setting a password. This is such a bad program. How do you can you lock out users without a way to reset it.
He can’t recall setting one, that’s not to reassuring. If he accidentally set one you are stuffed.
However there is a way and will have to follow the actions I outlined.
Setting a password prevents anyone changing your settings it is a means to protect your system from being compromised.
