G’day all - just returned to the forum, and noticed the display time was different to my local, so I adjusted it. While there, I saw the offset was 6 hours, which I dimly remember setting long ago, but now I have to set it at 7 hours. My standard offset is +8 (Western Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia…).
Does this forum live in a Daylight Saving locality? And if so, is there an automatic adjustment for the forum end?
(Western Australia currently does not use Daylight Saving since we massacred a Political Party at the elections 11 years ago for trying to pull the wool over our eyes ;D)
Hi Asyn - thanks for responding. That’s what I thought–Prague that is. No DST in Winter is pretty standard–there’s a story there, for later–but you do have it in Summer. Is there some (auto) adjustment which can be made to the forum to accommodate those of us who have the good fortune to not have DST?
Actually, looking at the “Look and Layout” page, time adjustment is made relative to Prague, where it should be made relative to UTC which is standard almost everywhere. This would be a remarkably simple fix, IIRC there is a JS/ECMAscript function somewhere?
You’re welcome. As I’m in the same timezone as Prague, I never needed/tried it.
I does adjust automatically according to the European DST changin dates, if your DST dates differ you need to manually adjust it in the forum settings.

if i PM you my email and password could you look into this please?
I don’t need your password (always keep that private), if your email and user name is different from what you are using now you could try sending it to me via pm and I’ll see if I can find anything.
There is no history of the name or email you have sent me and your IP is fine, you need to create an account on the forum with that name and email…you might need to log out and clear your cache then open up the forum page and create the new account with the name and email you sent to me by using the register link at top right of the sign in page.
In my profile (Modify Profile) - (https://forum.avast.com/index.php?action=profile) I see a field for AIM - This is your AOL Instant Messenger nickname. Here I read that “AIM has been discontinued as of December 15, 2017”. If AIM does not exist, what do I put in this field?
After I first installed Avast Antivirus, subsequent times I started my computer I have received two error messages:
