I’m running win7 64. I have Avast Internet Security and Malware bytes Pro - despite this managed to instal some malware that hijacked my browsers. Neither Malwarebytes nor Avast could see a problem so I had to resort to several other malware finders which found and removed the infection but left me with damaged files which stop windows update working and various programs won’t load. I tried installing re-image which again checks for infections and it found - c:\program files\avast software\avast\wsc_proxy.exe—TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen2. I don’t know quite how this works but to find a Trojan in my Avast folders is not encouraging.
Any advice?
