FP: UK Benefit Appeal Login Creation

https://hmcts-access.service.gov.uk/login is getting blocked.
I’ve checked it over, and I can’t see anything wrong with it. It’s the login page for the Appeal Process for PIP benefit for the UK government.
It’s an important site, and I don’t blame users for not wanting to bypass it and being scared. Additionally, these users are often on a fairly limited timescale.
I have reported it, but it’s not been fixed yet.
I know it’s the weekend, but some of these users won’t have until Monday to wait.

How did you get that webpage. The url does not look right for gov.uk page.
If you go direct to gov.uk and there do a search for PIP Appeal one of the results is:
https://www.gov.uk/appeal-benefit-decision

I assume that you already have an appeal ongoing ?

The alert is still there if you use that link directly as I suspect it redirects again (and that may be a cause).

If you go in using the link rocksteady gave, scroll down to the Next (Submit your appeal) link.
Now used the: Continue with an existing appeal
Sign in to continue with your saved benefit appeal application.

That takes you to the link you gave and no alert at this point, see attached image showing your link and a much longer link which will probably redirect further.

I don’t personally have an appeal. Someone mentioned it in a forum for disabled people looking for advice.
So, for us, where it was blocking was using the following path:
Start from “https://www.gov.uk/appeal-benefit-decision
Click “Submit Appeal”
Click “Start Now”
Enter “Personal Independence Payment (PIP)” in the field
Enter postcode (Mine is BS23 4HR for example)
Click Continue
Select “I want to be able to save this appeal later”
Upon clicking “Continue” it was getting blocked by Avast.

Looks like it’s allowing me past that now, so I’ll ask the user to try again.

Just checked, and she was able to successfully finish her application!
Thanks guys!

Thats good news.
You may wish to consider obscuring your postcode (i.e. delete or type *** ***) from your above post, as this is a public forum. Just open your post with the “Modify” tool to do that.

You’re welcome.

Whilst your postcode isn’t exactly unique, but it could help build a geographic profile.
I second its removal.

Strangely I have just had a problem viewing another UK Gov website.
I hope this is not a trend.

No apparent problem here using the latest version of avast, I have posted in the link you gave.

@DavidR. Thanks for your reply.
It was working using FF on Linux and Android last night. Just not using FF and Opera on Win10+Avast. It only worked after I turned off Webshield.

It now seems to be OK this morning. I will see what happens this evening after coronavirus website data is updated.
