FREE ONLINE ARMOR FIREWALL FOR VISTA 32 BITS

I keep my Comodo3 but for those who like ONLINE ARMOR you’ll be happy to test it:now available for VISTA 32 bits(click on the v.3 tab) at http://tallemu.com/downloads.html ;D

Online Armor Comparison:

This is v.3 (beta)

And here is for some HELP for the temerous ones http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=216843

There are a lot of limitations… is it really ‘good’ the free version?
I really will bet on Comodo or PcTools.

As I said, I’m not a tester and I’ll stay with Comodo. But at least here is one more free one to work on Vista 32 bits. OA was supposed to be the best (v.2) on XP. But remember it’s BETA.Still waiting after AILWIL TEAM for its long awaited AVAST FIREWALL for all possible OS. 8)

How can we wait so long for it? ::slight_smile:

I may be mistaken, but I believe that the Free beta version of OA 3 may not support Vista yet.

??? Fortunately enough I didn’t try anything. It seems that only the paid version is Vista compliant. They would do anything to get your money. I hate this a bit more! >:(

Do you have any choice ???

No, unfortunately not

To keep the info flowing, there are rumors that say that AVAST & OA beta3 on the same pc don’t mix well. See the thread http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=216843&page=5 :-X

Does anybody know of a way to make Online Armor the default firewall for Vista OS? ???

Default? If it is installed it will be the firewall running… you should have only one running.
So disable Windows Firewall, install Online Armor and it will be the one running.

It has been my experience upon installing OA the Windows FW shuts off automatically.

Sorry to go a bit off-topic on you but does anyone know of a decent firewall for Vista 64 bit, i mean besides Comodo. And is there a 64 bit version of OA planned(talking about the FREE version) ?

Mikey,
What about the built in firewall?

What about outbound protection ? I am already behind a hardware firewall/router so i am not worried about inbound protection …

Vista firewall has both outbound and inbound protection.
You can use Vista Firewall Control to make settings simpler.

Nothing new for me here Bob, i’m just looking for an alternative to Comodo. Vista firewall control is definetly not what i am looking for. Too “weak” for my taste. ;D I would really love to see PC Tools firewall releasing a 64 bit version.
