Yes the free version of avast also has anti-spyware.
Avast works with most popular/known browsers, though I don’t know if Seamonky is directly supported. Just try it and see, if not there are ways to force avast to include it.

Check the avastUI, Real-Time Shields, Web Shield, details. You will the graph moving when there is activity and the Pages scanned/infected: count will be updated as pages are scanned, as will the Last page scanned, etc.
