Dear Forum,
Does anybody know of any other web proxy sites like www.hidemyass.com ?
Specifically webbased ones and none of those where you have to put the IP number into your browser.
Moreover ones which are reputable and not riddled with nasties!
Thanks in advance!

Why do you need it as for most people it is totally unnecessary ?
You really can’t hide as you have an IP that data has to be returned to and you have to be assigned that by your ISP, who maintain records, proxies I would imagine have an obligation to do the same thing.

@Mr . Agent
What the heck does a firewall have to do with hiding your IP when browsing or posting in forums?
Avastfan1, the best annonimizer package I’ve found is Vidalia Bundle.

Unfortunately none of the product mentioned will totally hide your IP.
Some (most) of us don’t even bother since all it does is slow down you internet browsing.

Hi DavidR,
I was trying to access a news website where they only allow you to view a certain number of articles per day.
With a web proxy you can view more
Thanks,

Hi Tech,
Is there an option in Vidalia to use a web proxy where you do not have to install it?
Thanks,

Hei Hei!
Tack ska du ha. Använder du själv programmet? Kan du berätta för mig lite om det?

Hi Bob3160,
Thanks for your reply. I only need to bypass a news website’s limit on how many articles you can read.
I don’t actually need to totally ‘hide’ my IP.
Best wishes,

It is.
That was a specific reply to Hlecter.
If, however, you would like a translation, I would be more than happy to provide one.
Best wishes,

Language is Swedish.
Hi!
Thanks for that! Do you use the program yourself? Can you tell me a little about it?
Best regards,
