Frequent Malicious URL Blocked notifications

I’ve got some kind of nasty malware. It doesn’t cause a problem when I’m not connected to the internet. I ran avast full and boot scans while not connected to the internet and no viruses are found. As soon as I connect to the internet I start to get pop ups saying avast has blocked a malicious website. Computer was crashing frequently, but avast seems to be blocking and preventing crashes now. I installed MBAM and ran a quick scan. Found two problems and tried the delete them with restart option. But after restart problem is still there.

Attaching warning message I get from avast and mbam log. Getting ready to install and run OTL and aswMBR as outlined in the ‘Logs to assist in cleaning malware’ topic.

OK, when you have the completed logs attached we can get someone to help analyse them.

according to time stamp…your MBAM log is two days old…
if you run a new scan, remeber to update first as your database is from yesterday…

MBAM scan was two days old. I ran it two days ago and haven’t used the computer since. Figured it would still be good, but I’m not expert. If I need to rerun MBAM and then run OTL again, let me know.
I ran OTL, so I’ll post the logs now anyways.
I tried to run aswMBR three times, but every time I do the computer crashes and restarts. What should be my next step?

you may try aswMBR from safe mode

FINALLY

Run a fresh OTL scan ensuring all users is selected

I turned off the computer and went out for a few hours. Upon return I ran aswMBR again. This time it completed without crashing the computer. I am attaching the scan. I will also continue with the other steps suggested by essexboy at this time. Thanks.

I forgot to copy the report before TDSSKiller rebooted the computer the first time, so I ran it again and am attaching that report. The first time I ran it, TDSSKiller detected two problems. It removed the one and skipped the other. This time it just skipped one. Attaching report and moving on to ADWCleaner.

I ran AdwCleaner. Attaching log. Getting ready to run OTL again.

Okay. I ran the OTL scan again. The first time I forgot to include the custom scan text (attached as file OTL2). So I ran it again with the custom scan text (attached as file OTL3). I am no longer seeing malicious website blocked messages from avast. Am I clean?

OK first we need to re-run TDSSKiller using the same parameters as before
When you get to the following select delete :

\Device\Harddisk0\DR0 ( TDSS File System )

Avast will detect the files being moved so be prepared for that. On completion of this can you let me know what problems remain

THEN

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot

Run OTL

[*]Under the Custom Scans/Fixes box at the bottom, paste in the following

[*]Then click the Run Fix button at the top
[*]Let the program run unhindered, reboot the PC when it is done

I deleted that file with TDSSKiller.
After I tried to restart computer. Crashed during startup with ‘SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION’ error. I chose to start windows normally next and it booted up fine. Tried restart again with same results. Then I did a full shut down and started computer back up with no problems. I have done several restarts and shutdowns since then with no problem, so I think it’s okay. I have no more warnings from avast. I ran TDSSKiller again and it didn’t find anything. No more problems. I’m going to do the Run Fix with OTL now.

I ran the OTL Run Fix as instructed and everything seems to be okay. Thank you so much for your help. I couldn’t have figured it out on my own.

Subject to no further problems

I will remove my tools now and give some recommendations, but, I would like you to run for 24 hours or so and come back if you have any problems

Now the best part of the day ----- Your log now appears clean
