Fresh W7 install - will that affect my Avast free av?

Hi all… first post here and have looked through the forms but couldnt find a specific answer to my question so thought Id post up.

I want to do a fresh W7 install but I`m wondering what I need to save/backup so that the Avast free AV (which is free for a year with 321 days remaining) will continue to operate after the fresh OS?

Any help/info on this will be very much appreciated.

Just install avast again after you have re-installed win7.

So a re-install of Avast will just pick up at the 321 days remaining then?

On a clean reinstall of the system and avast you’ll get all 365 days as it’s a new install, you can uninstall and re-install as many times as you like.

To add to this, for those unaware, the free Home Edition automatically asks you to renew by re-registering when the year is up, but it is still just as free to do as the day you first installed it. You don’t have to pay for anything in that edition at all.

Ahh… this is good news indeed. Probably no need to say I did`nt know that as I suppose it was pretty obvious lol.
