WHERE Do we find the full offline installation package to download the free avast ?
All that pops up any more is the online installation and sorry, using it is not an option.

That was it… but it does not matter anyway. Aftrer installing it i see that Avast is now adware.
Can not disable pop up ads unless you pay. which is the entire point of putting AV on the computer was to clear out the junk and adware. now it is adware, it’s own worst enemy.
reverted back to the old version and will not be installing any of the new versions till the infection is fixed.

The ads aren’t that frequent, I have been using avast free for over ten years. Yes they will try to get you to convert to one or more of the paid products, you don’t have to.
Whilst those who have paid have an opt out, which isn’t unreasonable, but it is also possible via a different method in the free version. These promos are linked to the auto update notifications, disable those and no ads, but the down side being you don’t get notification of the virus definition updates.
