I am using Vista and today when I do a full scan it stops at 18% in the following path:
C:\Windows\Panther\unattend.bld
Some Googling shows Panther is a part of Vista Installation, but I’ve had Vista for 5 years and never changed/updated anything connected to it and Avast never got stuck in all the years I’ve used it.
hey and welcome to the forum. it could be a large file so avast needes more time scanning it.
Actually, from what i remember you always see the file that was already scanned and not the file it is actually scanning at the moment.
It’s not that it’s just a large file; actually gets ‘stuck’ while scanning the file. I watch the ‘details’ area for number of “Tested files/folders” while it’s scanning, and normally this number always changes as it scans, but this time it stayed at ‘112110/1’ for an hour, that’s how I believe it got ‘stuck’. Up till now, a full system never took more than 20-30 min.
