funny considerations about email scanning...

here

so much to justify that it doesn’t have it ;D …this said, avast email scanner has always worked for me. I guess the file shield would intercept malware as well if the email scanner wasn’t there, with the difference it seems that the avast email scanner (correct me if I’m wrong) scans in memory already, like the web shield…more obvious in av5 since the ability to abort a connection is there for it too now.
Yeah, another thing the poster forgot, is that this email scanner I’m talking about belongs to the free version of Avast

ps: on a side note, what happens in ssl ? Avast gets the mail (like Stunnel did when I used it an Av4) and reroutes it decrypted to the client, scanning it at the same time. My question, while the mail is scanned and sent to the client, is that done in memory or on the hard disk? since the connection can be aborted, I’d assume in memory…and then written to disk to be read.

They are full of crapp but do we really need another Comodo thread ???

not really no, you can lock this thread if you want  …just thought the post (there…) was funny enough to be mentioned, here ;D
