I don’t use this edge option (edge browser), it’s to inform the avast team. Avast security online extension conflicts with the edge bar.
“Edge Bar is disabled because the current profile is using one or more conflicting extensions.
Avast Online Security & Privacy”, indicated in the edge browser settings.
“The Edge Bar lets you search and browse the web, view news headlines, check the weather, and more without opening a full browser window.”

The latest version of edge browser, yesterday’s version “Version 103.0.1264.37 (Official build) (64-bit)”, and the version before the last one, there was also this problem.
Avast Online Security & Privacy Version 22.4.149.

Because you didn’t understand the problem. The “bar edge” feature is disabled because the Avast Online Security & Privacy extension conflicts with it. The Avast Online Security & Privacy extension works in edge browser, it must be deactivated to use the edge bar.
If you’re talking about the bar at the right edge, that’s working.

It’s this one. The edge browser can be closed and the bar remains on the right, it’s a mini web browser.

In the Beta version of Edge, that option ( edge bar) is apparently no longer available.
I find it in the settings in the current release but it’s not there in the beta version.
You have the official microsoft office extension conflicting with edge bar! So I’m wondering if the “bar edge” implementation in edge isn’t 100% reliable yet.
As I stated, that feature isn’t available in the beta version which will be the next version released.
I guess we’ll see once version 104 gets released.
