GAEProxy is reported as malware?

GAE Proxy is an opensource proxy program for android user(served at https://code.google.com/p/gaeproxy/), it was last updated on oct, 3 and today it is suddenly reported by Avast Mobile as Android:AndrAgent-F[Trj]. i’m wondering is this a false positive or is there really some malware in it?

by the way, how can i ignore an malware report if i want to use some app which is reported as malware by Avast Mobile? it just keeping kill it when i try to open the reported app.

by the way, what’s wrong with this forum? i can not post new topic in this forum with firefox 16, everytime when i press the post button it keeps telling me "Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message. ", this topic, and this reply are both posted with ie9 after many failed tries in firefox :frowning:

Hi,

you can use it if you disable the “App Shield-Scan apps on launch” feature. I will try to get informed about the detection.

Hi,
the detection will be changed to PUP in the next virus db udpate.

i’m wondering what is behind the word “PUP” for this app, does it just mean that there is an adware in it? or something more?

As for Firefox 16, see this post:
