I have been given a Secure Line VPN free for a year.
I am trying to activate it on my windows 11 laptop and my android phone and tablet.
I seem to have managed it ok for my laptop but when i try to get it on my phone it keeps telling me on my phone on the page with all my subs that the subscription isn’t being used on any device and asking me to install and activate the app now. This despite the fact that the app is on my phone and says the VPN is connected.
It also says subscription status is not available. I have downloaded the app from Google Play and have entered the activation code that i was given initially by email.
Coupled with all this when i click on the app (which says I’m connected) and i go to settings > subscription and try to link it to my Avast account I cannot get Avast to accept my password which i have already changed today.
I have tried getting chat help which was a complete waste of time.
This is driving me bonkers and I haven’t yet tried to get the VPN up and running on my android tablet.
Has anyone else had this sort of problem. In the past I have always felt that the Avast website and its help set-up is far too complicated and not user-friendly.

Could you please send us a message directly from your Android app? This will give us more information about the issue you are having.
- Open Avast SecureLine VPN and go to Settings (the gear icon) ▸ Help ▸ Contact support.
- In the form, please provide your name, email address, and the issue description (you can simply copy the one you posted here). Then, tap Send.
When you send the message, please let me know, and I will ask my colleagues to look into this and get back to you.
