getting notice that subscription expired

I purchased avast! Internet Security-3 PC, 2 Years if February 2014. Today I got notice that my subscription has expired. Subscription valid till: 2/4/2016 1:12pm

Ensure that your system date, month and year are correct - if they are try an avast repair:
XP - Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and select Repair, click next and follow.

Vista, win7 or later - Control Panel, Programs & Features, uninstall a program, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Uninstall/Change and select Repair, click next and follow.

You may need to reboot after the repair.

I am/was the EXACT same, I think. Just got the thing saying “Renew now!”, and not thinking, I did so. It wasn’t a popup on a website, and indeed my program said “Renew now” to, so I thought “must need renewing”. However, yet to get the confirm e-mail (although I did Paypal it), and looking back, I renewed back this past February (2014) It said the expiry was 10/2/2016 and indeed, my license was e-mailled in February.

Now I’m concerned I’ve just paid for another 2 years protection when I just did it six months ago.

aaron,

create a support ticket.
Tell what happened and ask the money back.

I did that last night. When I checked my e-mails this morning, the licence was there after all. And indeed, having literally just looked at my e-mails now, not only was the ticket I raised acknowleged, but there is another e-mail authorising the refund and one form Paypal saying they refunded me. So massive kudos to Avast for such service, and if the bug happens again, thanks to this forum and thread, I know how to fix it. You know, until the 10th of February 2016 and then I will actually need to renew… :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi im new to this, but I bought avast last month and had to reset to factory settings because of a problem and now my paid version has disappeared. What do I do to get it back?

Download and install it again - use the saved license file (you did save it) and apply that as you did before.

If you didn’t save your license file - Resend avast License http://www.avast.com/resend-license-paid.php, you will need to enter the email that you used when purchasing the license, e.g. the one that the original email with the link was sent.
