Getting rid of mysterious unwanted programs or filters

I am a new user of Avast. So maybe my problem can be addressed inside the Avast framework.

I am using a personal computer with no link whatsoever to parents nor employer.

Suddenly “Websense” has made its presence felt on my system. I cannot uninstall it using the regular technique we all use because no program “Websense” or “Websense Enterprises” appears. I also cannot locate the program under “Administrative Tools” and then “Services.”

Any suggestions for how to rid myself of this unsolicited censor?

someone must have installed that on your system… it’s impossible otherwise. For the others, websense seems to be site blocking software used by administrators in companies to block access to misc web sites.
