When using the SOA console, how do we configure 1 (one) exclusion list for all the computers on the network?
Free translation:
Net → Edit Group Properties → Shield Options → System File Shield → Exclusions
Thank you !!! 8) 8) :o ;D
Just have to say, THANK YOU! I was wondering about this myself and the Console sheet only really goes over the installation and some basics.
Yes, well apparently this is not working.
For some reason a program that I am using to monitor employee activity is being stopped by Avast!
Even after the exclusions have been set? I need help with this !
Dear Joel,
Take a stand alone machine, loaded with your avast! un-managed. Set AutoSandbox, and Behavioral Shield to “ask” and start testing. Turn off shields one at a time and test. Sometimes, I have to turn off all shields, and add them back one at a time, to find all the Shields involved. I have POS system that needs exclusions to File, Script, Behavioral, and AutoSandbox. Doing this from the management Console, is sometime futile.
When dealing with AutoSandbox, with known good applications, select “run normally” and “remember this” to create that exclusion.
Once exclusion list has been determined, insert into console.
I know of no other process to do this, until avast! releases “Global Exclusions” (I am hoping it is Endpoint version 8)
Sincerely,
J.R. Guthrie
When you say Un-Managed, do you mean to keep it out of the network groups, not using the server?
I’d prefer not to take this route, I would like all machines to have the same global settings.
Let me ask you this, this program that runs is with DLL files - I do not see any executable for it.
These files are also inside the system32 or syswow64 folders under Windows depending on the version.
I have added several more exclusions, using your wildcard suggestions from a previous thread, I will try these and see what happens.
Thank you for the suggestions and in the mean while, I will attempt to use some of what you told me to setup possibly an auto sandbox method.
