Global URL exclusion not functioning: http://www.miracleleaguear.com/

So what exactly is the point of this forum, does anybody from Avast ever post here or is this just a ploy to get other people to provide tech support for free?

Someone from avast did responded here 13 days ago.
Till now you have not done what was asked.

And I wonder why you want to add a exclusion for a site that is not blocked by avast…

What is a “detection toaster”? Never heard of it, neither has Google.

The popup displayed when the infection is blocked.

And the ‘popup’ comes up like a slice of bread in a ‘toaster’ from the bottom right of the screen.

And sometimes it’s even burnt like toast. :o

I never said it detected a virus, this is the problem, it’s not detecting anything it’s simply not allowing me to go to that URL and blocking the connection with no message, no popup, nothing listed in detections, NOTHING. No matter how many ways I add it to exclusions, avast STILL blocks it without giving me a warning or anything. I’ve tried this in Firefox and Chrome.

So to the guy who claims I didn’t do what was asked of me, sorry but I had no idea what he was asking for or why and rightfully so because I never once said it detected a virus for him to even be asking for that in the first place.

OK I realize now that I wasn’t seeing the detection popup due to had silent/gaming mode on. I am not infected with anything even when going there with avast disabled.

With Avast disabled, you certainly leave your system exposed to the dangers at that site.

For the average person who is inexperienced I would agree, but the fact is AdBlockPlus or UBlock Origin does more than Avast ever will these days, the fact that I have been going there years, disabling Avast just to get t here, and never once having an infection should prove that much  The fact that Avast is blocking it with a virus message, when there is in fact no virus detection happening at all makes me think they are being paid to block access to sites like this.

Avast isn’t an Adblocker. It never claimed to be one.

I wasn’t referring to popups when mentioning those other programs…they both have anti-malware lists that block known URLs as an added feature and it does a far better job at preventing those infections than Avast ever did. I do some PC repairs and the most common thing is spyware removal, If I suggest the person installs Avast they will be back in a month with the same infections. If I install AdBlockPlus with the anti-malware lists, I don’t hear back from them
