Goodbye Avast

After more than 10 years of using and recommending Avast to the people around me, today I decided to uninstall it permanently so as not to return to it (unless things change a lot), too many times I come across the error using 100% of CPU and I have to waste time uninstalling the program completely to reinstall and download everything …

A shame, Avast had been the best antivirus that existed.

I deleted in the same way after 10 years of use. This program is for masochists!

After 10 years I would have thought you would have a higher pain threshold

Me with over 16 years of use, not so much pain out side of this happening once back on 18.8 with my Old XP Pro system (last version for XP/Vista), but nowhere close to this (for those that experienced it), I had to drop back to 18.5.

If you hate it so much then there’s also no need to rage on the forums like that. Plus, like @asyn said, the issue has been fixed, so before you throw useless comments you should first make sure that you’re up to date.

Because beta versions are not deeply tested before they come to stable version, similar problems you must expect in future. One day beta, second day stable. Each month new version for no reason. Each new version fixes tons of bugs from previous version but also create tons of new bugs and problems. Avast should focus on quality over quantity.

You have alternatives. I totally agree on the quality aspect.
