GOOGLE DEVELOPING EAVESDROPPING SOFTWARE

Article from The Register:

The first thing that came out of our mouths when we heard that Google is working on a system that listens to what’s on your TV playing in the background, and then serves you relevant adverts, was ‘that’s cool, but dangerous.’ The idea is to use the existing PC microphone to listen to whatever is heard in the background, be it music, your phone going off or the TV turned down. The PC then identifies it, using fingerprinting, and then shows you relevant content, whether that’s adverts or search results, or a chat room on the subject.

And, of course, we wouldn’t put it past Google to store that information away, along with the search terms it keeps that you’ve used, and the web pages you have visited, to help it create a personalised profile that feeds you just the right kind of adverts/content.

Again…what is that No.3 for me NOW???

Hi drhayden1,

Hi, maybe that was you there sitting there at the google desk with the plugged in headphone?

No it has nothing to do with all this, that was technology of the thirties and fourties. No the game is to fingerprint all sort of fragments of digitized media code, and to check it (DRM) or to market the profiling in this way, and sell it to whatever pays for the data.
Now this is done through the peripherals (mike), later this is done via for instance the Fritz chip inside a Motherboard. This is the reason why analog TV and radio is being phased out world wide, why paid TV is closed software not to tinker with, why license CD’s cost four times as much at the software house than for the OEM installer. All measures to enable this easier, and make it compliant in the long run…
They want to fully govern every bit and byte they think they own, and they will have the perfect transparant consumer to prey upon.
This is what BB is planning not to eavesdrop on you and what happens in your house, but analyzing tiny fragments of code of what you play or view and check it for whatever their entrepeneural ends, they can come up with. Clever number sequencies, tunneling and piping codes and tags that is the name of the game here. Do you dig?

do you dig?-i dig polonus

Guess Google will be listening EVERYWHERE!!!

Google wants your thoughts basically, they already know what you like.

Hi cyfer,

Researchers have just found a new technique to make sure that MAC address spoofing will be futile in the coming future.
They found out that every application with a MAC address produces a unique radio signal, even when there are identical applications produced from the same brand and production line. When these techniques will be developed & adopted further it will be able to verify a MAC address against its pre-recorded unique signal to compare signals to fingerprinted ones. In this way the producer will know what machine does what, the sys opt will know if a network machine tries a spoof or not.
Unique fingerprinting has security advances (wifi sec etc).
