Got BSOD probably caused by aswSP.SYS

I’ve got back to the computer after it has restarted itself because of BSOD, probably caused by aswSP.sys
Have Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and Avast Free 6.

I will upload zip with .dmp and crash message asap. Hope you can help me

Please, go to folder \windows\minidump and send the newest (recent) .mdmp files for analysis.
There is also C:\Windows\Memory.dmp file.
Better if you can compress (zip), rename it with an unique name, them and add some information about the BSOD and the link for this thread.
Upload it to this anonymous ftp server: ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming/ as you’ve said.

It should be there. As I’ve already uploaded something yesterday (just without the memory.dmp), this one is the one with “_2” in the end.

Sorry to butt in, but it may be that you are having the same problem as I had recently. I also had a BSOD caused by aswSP.SYS (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) and posted about it here:

I updated Avast to the latest beta build (1044) as advised by Zyndstoff, and pk confirmed that the bug had been fixed in this latest beta.

HTH

Does this happen immediately after installing avast or after enabling
REAL-TIME SHIELDS/Behavior shield/Expert Settings/Main Settings/Monitor the system for unauthorized modifications?
