guess there is a first time for everything...

Haven’t been around for awhile. I was using the Avast Free for a short time, a little over a month, then decided to c’mon back and purchase the IT Security again.
Anyway, I ran my first full scan yesterday; viola, 1st time ever virus (I think). Anyhow, this is how it is recorded (I immediately put it in the chest–not really knowing what to do). it reads Win32:DH-A1…
Not sure …

Thanks for reading and responding,

Quick?
I posted two minutes after you posted.
That is only quick on my good days ;D

b.t.w. Win32:DH is a trojan downloader.

Interestingly Eddy, the first step is something I use on a regular basis and the Win32:DH-A1 came from an execution file for Mbam… I am going to uninstall the Mbam I have (used just 3 days ago–updated) and reinstall and go from there.
:-\

If it truly is a file from Mbam, it can be a false positive.
But run the scans and attach the log files anyway, a good check won’t hurt.

As per your instructions Eddy here are results from Mbam and Farbar. Thanks
Streim

Had a quick look at them and saw just some minor problems.
Wait till one of the listed malware removers had a look at them which will be tomorrow most likely.

 thanks Eddy… technology is going faster by the day and each day a few more of my brain cells so, so I truly appreciate your patience in helping this old rocking chair granny

??anyone take a look yet?? my system is running slower and being less dependable by the day. :frowning: I know Eddy told me on Friday afternoon (CST) that one of the malware folks would be looking at it ‘tomorrow’, I assumed that meant Saturday. (I just noticed my time is 6 hours earlier) I’ve been back several times to check and noticed a lot of folks have looked at it… but no help.

I am home bound and I hoped I could watch my church service this morning :'(… but unable to. Never had this problem before.
If Win32:DH is a trojan downloader as Eddy said, shouldn’t I get it off my system period?
Excuse my memory and not being able to make sense, but I am doing my best.
Thank you

Looking at the amount of the log files being downloaded, I would say that I am the only one that had a look at them.

As I said, I suspect it is a false positive and there are just minor things that need/could be fixed/cleaned up.

Download the attached fixlist.txt and place it in the same folder where you have farbar installed.
Start Farbar and click on fix.

 thank you Eddy, going to do as you suggest.
