gupdate virus

Hi guys

Got myself a virus here, I guess testing sharepod 4 wasn’t a good idea. Anyway, I ended up having Google Chrome saying "certificate revoked"when going to gmail, google & co. I got some weird result trying to search solution via IE.

So I finally got avast installed and running, he gaves me 3 virus. 2 of them are erased, the third is impossible to remove with Error: 0xA0000101.(-1610612479)
The file name is SVC: exe.etadpUelgooG.… aka GoogleUpdate.exe under Programs Files/Google/Desktop/Install. It seems to be related to the rootkit Evo-gen [Susp]

I guess Avast did something, the issue with google chrome disappeared. But How should I get rid of it?

Thanks in advance,

Follow this guide and attach logs: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0

When done malware removers will be notified.

Hi there … Run the following programme first before any other

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Press Scan button.
[*]It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
[*]Please copy and paste log back here.
[*]The first time the tool is run it generates another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST.exe/FRST64.exe). Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply.
