Harvest license from crashed computer

I own Avast Ultimate 10 Multi-device and my account says it’s installed on 3 devices. My wife’s computer crashed and she bought a new one. How do I harvest the license from her crashed computer? I can see my subscription, and it says I have 3 devices in use, but can’t see where to delete her old device - there’s no list of what devices I’ve installed on.

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.
As an Avast Free user I have no personal experience of that.

Not sure if this will help or not, Transferring an Avast subscription to another device

Thank, David - appreciate the response. I’m familiar with transferring licenses - I need to harvest one from a machine that died. I can’t find any way to remove a dead device from the list Avast thinks is active.

If you log on to your Primary Account, as far as I’m aware it should display a list of all installations.

As far as I’m aware from what I will call the master installation (for want of a correct name) You should be able to see all installations and disable/remove them from the list.

Your wife’s new computer installation should be there and her old computer.

I can only assume (dangerous) that your installation would be what I would call the master and be able to see all installed systems and be able to assign the code to new systems or remove.
I base this on your comment

10 Multi-device and my account says it’s installed on 3 devices.

My misguide thoughts believe you should be able to control them from hers.

EDIT: - I have tried to attract some attention to your topic from a restricted area of the forum.

Thanks again for the reply - what you’re saying makes sense but I can’t find anywhere a list of devices. It only tells me how many are managed - no list to add or remove. I’ll take a screenshot of what I see when I get home. I’m the registered account owner - have used Avast exclusively for many, many years.

OK, that may help (me certainly).

Given you only have three in use (including the one for the dead computer), if you can Identify the one you are using you could delete the other two and then from the other working computer with Avast Ultimate installed, reassign the subscription to that other computer.
