ok, so there is a message every two seconds that a virus is found, since these are system32, .exe files, what do i do with them? The fact that the names are just scrambled letters leads me to believe that they are in fact useless, but i still dont know whether to delete, move, or move to the chest.
What is the name of the virus?
Win32 Trojan-gen
that is a generic detection avast uses to identify a ton of trojans. scan http://housecall.trendmicro.com and tell me what the exact name is
TROJ REVOP A and WORM SPYBOT B
and it says that each file is non cleanable…some of the files i noticed look like real exe files but with the letters jumbled
TROJREVOPA and WORMSPYBOTB
non cleanable…look like real filenames only jumbled.
Hi,
use the following removal instructions, or delete the files manually or with avast after booting into safeMode (F8-Boot)
Please tell us the exact location where the trojans are found:
full path/folder/filename, (e.g. like C:\Windows\system32\trojanfile.exe)
This tells us whether they have been active, and whether you should redo your system from scratch, or just delete them
Win ME/XP: if they are ONLY found in RESTORE folder: see above links on how to disable System RESTORE
