Help - I downloaded Avast several months ago on advice from a friend. Decided I didn’t like it (almost froze up my computer). Uninstalled the program but there is still a “user” that says AvastSoftwareUpdater. I want it GONE! I want every trace of Avast gone. Can anyone help me?
I’m using Windows 7 now, and I’m transfering files to new computer Windows 8 - and the new computer already has a user file folder called “AL”, I assume it’s avast.

Let me guess, you didn’t removed/disabled a pre-installed av before installing avast.
