[HELP] Avastsvc.exe use any RAM and CPU

Hi,
I used Google Translate. My computer use Avast Internet Security. I see my computer slow because the process Avastsvc.exe takes up too much most of the computer’s RAM and CPU evening always 100% so I want help!!!

My OS: Windows XP SP 3
Version of AIS: Avast 10.0.2208
No other security related software installed
Avast is the first AV I use

  1. Download Avast Internet Security: http://files.avast.com/iavs9x/avast_internet_security_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed Avast versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall Avast with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

I could not get 2014.10.0.2208 to run well on any XP PCs.
Disappointed, I’ve reverted to 2014.9.0.2010 with success.

Strange, I monitor a couple of XP machines, no such problems there.
Avast even runs quite smooth on an very old system with only 512 MB.

In my case it could be particular software common to all these PCs.
All had near 100% CPU due to “fixation” with certain executables. With each one I excluded, another would become the focus of the file scanner’s attention.
