tanks for your answer charleyO.
you are right. you do need some informations from us.
well, my system is window xp service pack 2
i have a firewall. it is the one of window, but i tried to connect to internet also removing the window firewall and it didn’t fit.
what is more, i couldn’t activate the firewall of avast internet security. it said that it needs to activate but i couldn’t do it.
i hope you can understand me i’m not used writing in english.
Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware (MBAM) then get the latest definition updates then run a Quick scan and have it remove what it finds: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
Post its log here if you like.
Windows XP Service Pack 3 has been available for over a year and a half that provides many Critical Updates and performance improvements.
You need to start Internet Explorer then go to Tools then Windows Update and download all of the available updates.
Go to Control Panel then Automatic Updates then select Automatic (recommended) or at least Notify me but don’t automatically download or install them.
sorry, i mistaked. I have got windows xp service pack 3 (and not 2 as i said) I just cecked it.
I followed your suggestions and … unbelievable! i have still a lot of malware in my registry and in my pc!
I don’t understand why. becouse just yesterday I did a pc scan with “avast 5 internet security” just after installing it and I deleted a lot of viruses and malware.
then I cleaned my registry with “Eusing free registry cleaner” wich found and corrected a lot of malware and trojans in my registry.
so why, why why i do have still all this ‘garbage’ in my pc?
I send you the file log generate by running ‘Malwarebytes’ (as you suggested).
please may you look at it and say me what is better?
i have jet another (only one?) problem with my pc: I can’t enter in my registry with ‘regedit’. is it possible depending from the registry infection?
I see you did not let MBAM remove what it found by → No action taken.
You have to let MBAM remove what finds to its Quarantine by using Remove.
Why you can not enter the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\regfile\shell\open\command(default) (Broken.OpenCommand) → Bad: (regedit.exe %1) Good: (regedit.exe “%1”) → No action taken.
tanks to YoKenny and to MBAM I have now a perfecly “clean” pc. now my pc works like a new car and my registry is shining finally free from viruses.
but … I still can’t use my “payed” ‘avast internet security’ becouse when I have it installed on my pc I can’t connect to internet at all. nor with Explorer nor with Mozilla (I haven’t checked other browsers).
I have to disinstall it and to use ‘avast 5 free’. with this free version I have no problem with internet …
so I ask myself: why have I buyed and payed avast I.S. if I can’t use it? ???
and also I ask myself: I used ‘Avast 4.8 fee’ all over last year, but then why my pc and its registry was so bad infected (I swear that I did pc scanning regularly with avast and also with antimalware)?
why avast didn’t find all that trojans I discovered yesterday tanks to kindly YoKenny?
is avast a good antivirus, as I did think till yesterday or it is not?
or it is my incapacity that make avast internet security don’t work? ???
avast! is a good anti virus application and MBAM is a good anti malware application that works well with avast! and that is why I purchased a license for MBAM for both of my systems.
As to why you can not get the firewall in avast! I.S. to work I am at a loss as I do not use avast! I.S.
