Help I cant remove Avast

Hello

I have a problem removing AVAST from my Windows XP.

I go to the add/remove programs and click add/remov the AVAST antivirus and the window just flashes and nothing happens

I have NO trouble removing other programs.

My version is 4.1-304

Please help

Reinstall Avast, then try to remove it.:cry: But why the heck you want to remove such a great product??? :stuck_out_tongue:

The version you are trying to remove is an older version, you may want to download the latest version and try that if there was a problem with your current version.

If you are determinet to get rid of the avast installation a visit to RejZors site at http://www.security-ops.tk/ and download the avast! External Control, a small executable tool to access certain functions within avast. There is a brutal Uninstall tool in there that should do the trick.

Since you have made attempts to uninstall already this may not work I don’t know, as Artras, said you may need to reinstall first.

reinstalling the Avast helped.

We had a new policy at work so I have to use my work approved internet security and Avast is not on the list.
