Go to Standard shield from on-access protection control and select customised and then select the 2nd tab called scanner(Advanced) and then tick on Scan files on open.?Ya that what mean for double click on single click.If u don’t want to scan for created or modifiled u can just untick that one i mean disable it…
Is it on an external drive? If so, you might try to turn off AutoPlay for that drive and see if it helps.
mantra, what exactly do you mean by “freeze often”?
When (on what occasions) does it freeze? Did you try with the new version (4.6.623)?
@igor
yes thanks i updated to last version
i have directoty with tons of zip files
when i enter only click to these directory avast freeze my system for some seconds
sometime blocks my system
Do you have any special setting of the Standard Shield provider? (files to be scanned on opening, turned on archives, …)
the setting are “normal”
but i setup to scan zip files too, i think is this that freezes some time my pc
but is there a switch to scan only opened files?? the files that i want to open (douple click on the file)
If you mean “open” as “start an executable”, that’s the options on the first page of Standard Shield settings.
If you mean “open” as “read”/“load”, that’s the options on the second page of Standard Shield settings.
Btw, avast! doesn’t scan the files in the folder just by itself; if it scans the files as soon as you open the folder, it means that something is reading the files (e.g. Explorer to show the icons for the files).
