help: question about standard shield , resident settings

Hi, i hope you can help me…

when i go to on acces protection control, : i use the free edition (!) of avast (the newest version, just downloaded it),
then i go to: on acces standard shield and in there i go to resident task settings, then i i go to: advanced,
and there’s the option to modify the list of locations that will not be scanned (for ex: pagefile sys, etc) but, i want to remove those settings completely as i want everything to be scanned, but when i try to remove them out of the list, nothing happens…, i click on OK but when i check again, the same list appears with thos files…
why am i not able to delete them out of there?

There is no need to scan pagefile. You’ll have a huge system hang-up (I think) as pagefile is like additional RAM.

but there are more files there with possibility to remove are those all save files not neccesari to be checked?
or…can that only be done in the paid edition?
these are the files which i cannot remove from there:
*log
*ini
*txt
c windos temp/temp
etcetera if wanted i can give the whole list…
it scares me that 1 i am unable to remove them and 2, who tells me 100 procent sure that all those files are permanently save? are they?

That files are safe to be removed from scanning.
Are you logged as an administrator? Do you use Vista?

yes i am adminnistrator and as far as i know logged in as admin too and i use vista.
